Emilie Leclerc is a Vancouver-based actor and creator who works in both French and English. With Théâtre la Seizième, Emilie performed in Écran de Fumée, Le Portrait Gooble (Jessie award for best TYA production of 2012), held the lead role in L’Enfant Problème (nomination for a Jessie Richardson Award for best performance by a lead actress). In English, Emilie recently performed in Einstein’s Gift (Enemies of the Stage), The Vic (Terminal Theatre), Unidentified Human Remains and the True Nature of Love (Twenty-Something Theatre) and Guys and Dolls (Gateway Theatre).

As a creator, Emilie is part of the pan-Canadian collective Les Petites Cellules Chaudes who developed a daring multi-media performance called iShow, which was presented at Usine C in Montréal last February. This year, Emilie taught acting workshops for Réseau-Femmes de la Colombie-Britannique, Théâtre la Seizième and directed AJEFCB’s second Theatre Forum. Emilie is a graduate of Studio 58, studied clowning and bouffon at École Philippe Gaulier, and holds a B.A. from McGill University. Next up, Emilie will be performing in Munsch to say! at Chemainus Theatre Festival.
